North Stairs / Tram Elevator

This entrance was the original Strand beach access point. The stairs have been completely rebuilt and place you on the part of the beach closest to the Ritz Carlton. A funicular tram car is available to shuttle passengers parallel to the stairs, and there are restrooms and showers at both the top and bottom of the steps.

Southern Headlands Switchback Trail

This switchback beach access route provides the most spectacular views of the headlands and Strands Beach below. The trail-head entrance is just to the South of the complex and the path has the most gentle slope. There are stairs at the bottom, but fewer than with the other routes. There are showers and restrooms at the beach level.

Mid-Strand Stairs

These stairs are directly accross from Villa Tortuga and provide the shortest (but steepest) route to the center of Strands Beach. They pass though the center of the Multi-Million dollar homes of the Headlands property. There are no restrooms or showers at this access point.
